What is Microherd, and more importantly, what was the outcome of this whole thread?

Microherd is the composting equivalent to tomatoville. The other place members of the compost forum at GW hang out. I just registered today after seeing it mentioned on the first page. I haven't been approved by a mod yet. After 3 year, I think the outcome was no.

More's the pity, RJ...
Think you could pm me that link? Actually, I'm amazed there is an entire forum dedicated to composting. There must be far more to the subject than I suspect... *nods wisely and reaches for a chamomile tea* |

Does the Microherd forum still exist, or has it composted itself?
It looks like the outcome of the original query was a compromise: this forum, called Soilbuilding 101 instead of Composting. |

It was a few months ago that one of the regulars commented about being over at the other place. I registered today, so I'm waiting for an email back. Soil building 101 is a good compromise. There is a ton to learn, There are two really good forums on vermicomposting, one dedicated and one kinda like here w/ lots of forums but all the posts are from members of the gardenweb vermicomposting forum.
The soil/compost forum at GW is a great place, I spent alot of last winter reading and submitting over there. http://www.themicroherd.com/ |

Ah ok -
So there was a successful conclusion to this thread, ie soilbuilding 101...that's great and makes good sense. Thanks to you also, RJ! |
