Carriehelene, great harvest! Congratulations. What do you do with green beans?

So after work, harvested the cherries. Then the guy shows up with the new fence panels for the chicken runs. Helped him unload those. Then he wanted to check out the garden, so gave him a tour. Then harvested beans. Son snapped them while I harvested the peppers and large tomatoes. Those are the ones on the front right hand side of the table. They are Brandy Boys from hubby's plants. Then picked random things to fill a couple of orders from work. Went in, whined on here, then made stuffed peppers, blanched and froze the beans, ate and took my shower. Fell into bed exhausted around 9:30.

CarrieHelene, gorgeous and bountiful harvest. You just don't get that kind of results unless you are willing to put in the effort. Reading your last post made me exhausted, nap now. Heee!

CarrieHelene, what a wonderful, productive garden you must have! I love photos of your produce and canning. All your hard work will pay off in the end. No rest for the weary, but hopefully once the cold set's and your garden is laid to rest, you can relax a bit and enjoy the fruits of your labor this winter. Good job!!

Last nights harvest. Ahh, it was so much better. Temps were still high, but it was cloudy and the breeze was blowing. It was once again a pleasure to be in the garden. Only supposed to be upper 70's today, so should be another good one.

No mushroom picking here. Don't care for them. Hubby likes them, but the rest of us don't, so he's out-voted

Re thinking about OP's proposition, I think to the contrary its is therapy for the mind and body to indulge in the nature.

My condolences
Talking of mushrooms, it has been an excellent mushrooming year in some areas, thanks to the cool rainy summer. I have been an avid mushroom lover, but I lost my appetite upon learning that even very clean-looking ones contain maggots... they're just too tiny to be seen. |
