N95 helps a lot, especially for dry mixes. Great score on the Pro Mix. I found those same bags of sphagnum peat moss (I suppose from last year) for $3 at the Eastlake Walmart. I got 4 and when I went back, gone.

I check their clearance and the HD clearance areas as a matter of habit, sometimes I find cool stuff.

mine don't seem to carry any reduced price either.
Tomorrow I am going to check WM, Lowes and Tractor Supply, looking for reduced prices. We have NO Home Depot around here. I like HD gardening center better than Lowes.

I bought some at my local store too.In wondering would it be ok to use in place of seed starter? We are in the process of moving and I really don't want to buy more mix and move if this would work ok.

3 cu ft compressed is $36.99. Getting ridiculously expensive.

Today I was at WM. NOT-A-Thing special.
I just bought couple bags of compost manure and 2 bags of pine bark mulch. @ $2.90 / 2 c-ft was ok. I use them to make potting mix and as amendment in garden. In my sandy soil the can retain moisture better. The rest of stuff was mostly name brand potting mixes at regular price.
Lowes garden center was boring as usual.

My Walmart doesn't have anything in the garden center yet except a small seed display. I see some bags of mulch and garden soil 30 feet up top of steel shelves. They are starting to stock up.

Give it time, it's not planting time yet for most of the country. I know we want it to start but I'm sure they're working their way up north and I bet Promix is maxed out on making it with a large order like Walmart.

It's a new product and it doesn't show up at my store either when I use stock checker.

I bought 3 bales of the organic today at WM. It was priced $16.96 but saved 10% using an employee discount. I have never used it before, but have read good things here and you folks have never steered me wrong. I am planning on using it along with Black Kow to amend the soil in my raised bed. The quality and numbers of tomatoes each year has exploded since joining TV. You all have my sincere thank you!

The primary difference between the Pro-Mix MP 'Organik' and the Pro-Mix BX is the use of a synthetic wetting agent in the BX, according to the Pro-Mix rep that I talked to years ago. There is an organic wetting agent in the MP which they consider inferior, so don't use it in most of their products.

No idea about these, I've never seen them in Walmart here. According to our store manager, their inventory is centrally managed by a regional office, who makes the decisions about what to send them and when, and all they do locally is make sure the computer inventory matches the real inventory. They don't get to choose what kind of media to sell or when they get it.
