Gary, thanks for the product, your knowledge and especially your time. Even if you didn't do it again, we are all ahead of the game.

May I add my thanks to all of those above, and also wishing you a more leisurely autumn/early winter. Hopefully your sabbatical will allow some of us to catch up on your previous "sendings"...

Well, LOL!! Barnum's of course, AND in the little circus box, too. Never had Stauffer's, though a few other brands through the years, but Barnum's not only caught my imagination as a child, but my taste buds with just the right amount of spices in them. Big question here: Will you be doing the swap next year or is this a permanent retirement from it? I also need to get with you about some Flamingo beans seed for this next year. Ive decided to garden again, and would like to try them.

Barnum's had seals, of which I took the chance, with the peril of loss of life or limb (well, not really) on consuming the broken ones. I don't know if they still have seals, but I just may go back for the peril, and find out.
Stauffers has no seals. But their chocolate animal crackers make a great crust for a raspberry cheesecake |

I'll add another words of thanks to the long list! The anticipation of having that over-stuffed ravioli show up in my mailbox was more exciting than Christmas morning. And it helped introduce me to a lot of varieties I may have never grown otherwise. Both you and your local post office deserve a break!

I can not say I am not disappointed. MMM swap was big part of my winter and lead to a lot of research and choices.
Can not say I need more seeds, probably have enough for the next decade... Glad I got to participate. .. Many many thanks for tremendous job connecting people and seeds and impacting people lives and choices! |

All of us collecting seeds for an extra year might mean next year's swap will be bigger & better than ever!

I'm going to host the swap next year, if I'm able to. Whether I do, or not, I would like to see T'ville members grow out in 2020 as many of the varieties that Carolyn introduced to all of us.
Perhaps a coordinated effort could begin by having a thread that lists those varieties. From there, T'ville members could tell each other what varieties they have, and which varieties they are willing to grow and save seed. In that way, there would not be much duplicating of growouts. |

Great idea! Both as a grow out for Carolyn, and I think she would like that very much, and to have a variety thread, too.
Does anyone know who, if anyone, got the tomato seeds she had or had out to be grown out for her offers? I think Shawn was 1 of the growers, but I could be wrong. Maybe we could help some to keep some in fresh seed for sort of a Carolyn memory? Or is that a bad idea?
