Heeheehee!
Mind you don't get that burned hand too close to the vat, I find the sensation of heat very troubling to a burn. Found my old book and here's a NO COOK treat! Back away from that stove (smog pot?) No Cook Halvah Treats Combine to make a stiff 'dough': 1/2 cup ground cashews 1/2 cup ground sunflower seeds 3 tablespoons of tahini 2 tablespoons of honey Roll into a log and cut into pieces. The amounts are approximate so use extra nuts if it's too sticky. Extra seeds or nuts can also be pressed into the surface after cutting. We sometimes dipped those in semi-sweet chocolate too, but that may be tricky for the one handed. Even if they are a little sticky, this stuff is addictive and will disappear fast. *Note: if using a blender to grind the nuts and seeds, do not poke with your cutlass unless the blender blades have stopped moving completely. |
