They're doin' basically the same thing around St. Pete Beach in FL.

We go there for New Years, and a friend takes us out along the Intracostal Waterway. Folks are buyin' up smaller homes on the water and building huge monsters around the old place to avoid the restrictive permitting.

They're payin' a million bucks for a house on a postage stamp lot that would sell here for 125 - 180K. They end up buildin' a house that sells for 2.5 million!

That little 700 sq. ft. shack in Carmel would sell here for about 70K in top condition on a lot up to 1/2 acre. On a 1/4 acre lot in Madiera Beach/St. Pete Beach area, on the bay side, it would go for 850K minimum.

BEWARE: This bubble will burst.

What the hell are celebrities doing at a tomato festival? Isn't that like too "common" for them? Instead of ruining the good ol fun for us commoners they should take their fancy pants off to Italy for thier tomatoes and leave us our pitiful festivals...Sheesh! And this was the year I'd finally talked my DH into going and now it's way outta our reach...which sucks! Somebody please start a tomato show in Las Vegas! LOL

Default TomatoFest Tickets

Apologies if someone has already posted this:

Kendall-Jackson Vineyards is supposed to be holding a "tomato tasting festival" this year, and tickets go on sale May 1st, $50 up to June 30th and $60 July 1st and after.

List of varieties here (many names misspelled, though):

Hi GreenThumbGal_07,

Thank you for posting the info about the Kendall-Jackson tomato event. I was just thinking about this event.

I am going to see if DH is in. He has summer school in SoCal.

Cheers,

Angelique

I looked all over the Kendall-Jackson website and I can't find the actual date of the event, just when tickets are being sold. Does anyone know what day it is? Thanks!

edit to my own post!

I called the winery and the date is September 9th!
