I can't get off this thread. Just reread and noticed Craig's comments.

Well, he said his dad likes Momotaro and that is pink so my guess is his dad would like any red OR pink tomato. Just don't suggest Black Prince

To pick up on Fusion's point, this is why I sometimes use the term "scarlet" for red tomatoes (it to me infers a red that is on the orange side of things), and "crimson" for pink tomatoes - yet I am sure those words can elicit confusion as well! If you look at seed catalogs through the years, the terms used for red or pink tomatoes has varied quite a bit.
