Pink BTD comes in at the same time as Cherokee Purple wich has been my earliest heirloom for years.(Cherokee Purple is a parent to Pink BTD.)
Usually just a few days after Early Girl.
Using days to maturaty is confusing I think as the same 'early' variety can be anywhere from 55 to 85 days.
BTD I would consider late to mid-late. 80-100 days. One of the last to ripen but I have a long growing season and my customers would be if I did not grow it.

Great info as I am growing PBTD this year for the first time (thank you Suze). I only gave 3 or 4 plants 2 spots or more and PBTD was one of them based on positives that I have read here. Cherokee Purple is probably my favorite in my short growing experience so something similiar will probably be a fave as well especially it is as early or more productive.

I would like to try growing Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye (PBTD). Could anyone be so kind as to share a few seeds with me? I could work a trade or send SASE. I put a note in the Wanted Varieties section, but thought I would post here too.

Someone might give you some seed, but you can also buy them from wild boar farms if you follow the link attached. http://www.localharvest.org/pink-ber...ato-seed-C7841.

Thanks for the heads up Vince. I found them. I am psyched to try this variety based upon the feedback in this discussion.

Hi guys
After reading this thread, I just had to grow one of the Pink BTD. I am going to plant my seedlings Friday, so its a bit late for me to start one from seed.
I am local to Wild Boar Farms and I was able to get a hold of Brad via email and he is willing to let me drive up there and grab a seedling!!
