They look delectable Tessa!

I've just finished planting out. I have 111 plants (64 varieties) in the garden. Some don't look too hot so that number may come down. It's quite a few more than I would normally grow so I wouldn't mind if some of them keel over before their time!
A lot of them are new to me this year. A couple of the newies I'm looking forward to are Arbuznyi, Berkeley Tie Dye, Gran's Portuguese Neighbour, Katinka, KBX and Sarnowski Polish Plum.

Edit: Thought I'd add the list

What, Med!
You call your rams by first names?
That confirms it. Lol.

Yer it was the kids pet Grub, if it had a last name also you would have to start to worry.

Good luck Ray

I need help? I'm not the one with a ram called Bob!

Already lost one. Kimberly bit the dust. No idea why. Anyway, I dug up a feral tomato from the garden at work, last year in that spot in the garden was a largish red cherry, and will put it in Kimberly's place!

So far I'm having a waaayyyyy better season than the last two seasons, and I feel particularly lucky because after several tries I actually have Cherokee Purple growing successfully this year (and with decent looking fruit). It was the earliest to set in my garden

Can't take a nice pic from the other side of the plant because I can't get in there with the camera.

My climate seems to bring out flavour particularly well so I'm really looking forward to these fruits. Maybe they'll be ripe in time for Christmas, which would be awesome!

Great news about the season. So happy for you.
CP is a pretty good one up here.

But I'm interested to see if it does the same thing for you as it does for me (and Mantis). That is, it sets some nice clusters early before shutting down production entirely.

Grub i have found the same thing with my Great whites and Black krims that is the first set of flowers set fruit well, but from then up only about a 50% are setting, y ?????? i`m giving all the flowers a flick up to 3 times a day including all the dwarfs that so far are setting 100% even up the third and fourth set.

Nice looking tomatoes Tessa. And Bob looks lovely too

This is my first tomato, a Cherokee Purple. Really its about the fourth, but the blossoms keep turning brown at the stem falling off! Just when the fruit is beginning to show under the wilting petals. Why does CP do this? Its devastating!
Its the one plant I started in July 4 weeks befor the rest because I just couldnt wait, so its the first to set fruit. Oxheart and Yellow Brandywine are catching up by now though.

I just did a count last week, Im up to 124 with another 50 or so to go in. Hopefully less if I can find some restraint.
64 varieties.

I hope the picture attached.

Lena

Great news PP. CP is worth it.

64 varieties Lena, same as me, but I only have 111 plants.
