I'm gonna speak for Gary here and just say send it in! I think as long as it's postmarked by the due date, we are good.

I'm still expecting at least 3 large packages to arrive. Meanwhile, I'll try to post a list of misc. veggie/fruit/flower seed that has come in, "early" next week.

And, it's time for suggestions for an F1 tomato for the 2017 MMMM. Something like Orange Paruche (if it can be bought in bulk)?

Orange Paruche is another orange cherry. This one seems to be rather pricey 250 seeds for $54.00. Should we try this one and grow it against SunGlold, SunSugar and Esterina F1 or would we be better off to chose a F1 beefsteak to be brought to the swap? Something like Big Beef, Big Brandy or Brandy Boy? Hmm, cherries or beefsteak, that is a question for us to ponder.

Brandy Boy was my thought, too, but I just looked at Burpee's website and they are asking $6.95 for a packet. Ouch. I didn't see any bulk sales.

Who makes the decision? Can I recommend one? How about an orange but it's beefsteak, I haven't grown it. CHEF’S CHOICE ORANGE HYBRID.
Johnny's has the best bulk price. http://www.johnnyseeds.com/vegetable...seed-3234.html
Attractive orange beefsteak.

We were impressed with Chef's Choice Orange when we saw it as an AAS entry, and subsequent winner, in 2013. 8-11 oz. fruits are low in acid and have very good flavor and texture. High yielding. Earlier and more productive than most orange beefsteaks. High resistance to tobacco mosaic virus. Indeterminate

Burpee's description
All-America Selections award winner.
When it comes to a beefsteak for slicing, saucing, and soup-ing, ‘Chef’s Choice Orange’ is your best bet. Combining the perfect balance of rich, heirloom flavor and function, bright orange 9-12 oz. fruits keep their radiant tangerine tones, fresh or cooked. As adaptable in the garden as it is in the kitchen, ‘Chef’s Choice Orange’ more than merits the All-America Selections award for 2015. This hybrid-heirloom, adapted from the tasty but late ‘Amana Orange’ will quickly be a favorite to sink your teeth into. Each 5-6’ plant yields up two dozen fruits over the season. Disease-resistant plants resist cracking, as well. Indeterminate.

A guy near me sells 128 plug flats of most popular hybrids for 20$. I decided it's not worth starting my own Big Beef seed for that cheap. He will even do half and half plug flats if you pay him first. If you look around locally you may be able to find someone similar.

AL Gr D (I think I over did it)

One down, and ~80 to go.

Group input makes the decision.

I'll contact the seed sponsor for hybrids, on how much to $pend. Maybe if there's enough demand, there could be more than one variety ordered.

250 seeds of a variety for 10-15 dollars might work if people only want about 5 seeds (and there are ~50 people wanting that variety, or 10 seeds if only 25 people).
