First to set fruit for 2018 out in the garden is Midnight Sun. Still about 10 c at night, days around 22.
The others not far behind

also for Black Bear and "7 gallon " Culture ....

My earliest large /medium PL to set fruit this year is Chernomor/ Black Sea Man

I have very little control it seems on what variety does what from year to year.

PL Kimberly has also set fruit as well ...

June 14: Expecting these to be my first of all of my outdoor large tomatoes to ripen. Midnight sun and true colours both set in the cold nights. Tundra and Polaris lagging behind this year, really hardly any of my other large fruited plants have any fruit yet. Many just starting to bloom.

Midnight sun and true colours respectively. Neck and neck for first to mature in the outdoor garden 2018.

Wow you must be growing on the "BIG and Early " part of the Island …


I did not fare as well in the early department this year …..

but lots getting ready for early mid season .

That just is impressive pix ...no matter where geographically you are growing …

the whole idea of all of my projects is to have tomatoes that grow well in a Canadian garden. We are practically neighbors you and I.
