It's really just a pre-announcement.

The new swap will be listed in early September. Seeds usually get sent to me from October 1st to November 10th, so there's no rush. Having a wish list is the first deadline, about October 1st. Even that's not a deadline. But, if people start sending in their packages before your wish list gets posted, that list has a tougher time of getting filled.

I'll also be posting a list of the very common varieties that have been sent in to the past swaps. Also, the varieties that I have in bulk from last years donations.

As in past years, it's your swap. I'm just the host (chief enabler). So, any suggestions for improvements, new categories, etc... are welcome.

Thanks Tormato! Drum roll, time flies, and on it goes!

Wish lists from the 2013 swap, for those looking for ideas for varieties to try, or maybe long forgotten varieties they'd still like to try...

I am very happy that Rumi Banjan was popular in last year's swap. It was a very productive little tomato for me, and should be more widely known and appreciated. I hope that many will get a bag of RB this year and fall in love with it next season.

I have no access to the new Houzz/Gardenweb, which was the one other site that I've posted at about the swap.

So, if any of you have friends over there (American & Canadian), hopefully you can direct them to here.

What about other vegetable seeds? Is there a wishlist or are they just extras? I have some stuff (small seeds!!) I would happily send...

Other veggie/flower seeds (non-tomato/pepper) that come in will be listed in the swap thread, like last year, after all packages arrive. Somewhere, in this or another thread, there might be "rules" on how it works.

I'd prefer those seed packs to be in quantities of more than one (maybe ~10 packs of a variety if possible). This way, if 10 people want a variety, I don't have any hard decisions to make, unlike with a single pack of seeds.

We all have to love your (Tormato) giving spirit and willingness to endure stress!
BTW... I am needing fresh seeds for Middle TN... mine did not come true.
And always interested in anyone's very favorite flowers and will include some flower seeds in my "sent". Patty

Vegetable and flower seed wish lists are welcome. But, because the swap is mostly tomatoes (with some peppers), filling such wish lists might not be easy. Perhaps requesting a type of veggie/flower may work, if one is not looking for only a specific variety of that type.
