I'm lost in translation, maybe. Are you not able to buy a copy in the Czech Republic?

I have a nice original that I purchased at a Smith & Hawken store, but for ease of use at my computer, I'd like to have a PDF. Does anyone know if a authorized PDF or E-Book has ever been released by Workman? (I think not, but doesn't hurt to ask.) Used copies are still available at very reasonable prices, but making my own PDF is more work than I want to do.

Karen, thank you for the video. It's very nice and it will remain a lasting memory of Carolyn. She was a good friend to me.
JRinPA, as far as I know, no one in the Czech Republic has this book. In fact, probably no one knows that such a book exists. Greatgardens, I don't think the price would be decisive for me. The first problem is how to pay. I have PayPal and a friend has the option to pay by credit card. The second problem is whether the company will deliver the book to the European Union and what the conditions are. If there was no problem, I would try to buy it. If not, I would have to find someone in the US to whose address I would have the book sent, saying that he would send it to the Czech Republic. Of course, I would pay all his costs, again by Pay Pal or credit card. I would first have to find out what it is like with customs regulations. And most importantly, if anyone really offers this used book. Vladimír PS.: For the first time I registered with us on the tomato forum that a lady received a new book from Craig (NCTomatoman) as a gift from her husband. |

MrBig46 - I do believe that the German Amazon website (Amazon.de) potentially offers free shipping to the Czech Republic. And the book does appear to be for sale: https://www.amazon.de/Heirloom-Tomat...3777434&sr=8-3
Another option: https://borderoo.com/pages/how-to-ge...zech-republic/ Good luck! |

Yes, I was going to suggest Amazon (EU) as well. If you can find this in the EU, you will be way ahead of "rolling the dice" with international shipment$. This book is available at the U.S. Amazon site with 39 copies, starting at $2.48. But international shipping is the killer, and it is a somewhat odd-sized book, so it will not fit in U.S. Priority Mail Small (Flat Rate) boxes. The worst outcome would be to buy it and have it lost in the mail.
Anyone in the U.S. who still wants this book should be able to easily get one. I have personally had good luck with "Used -- Very Good" book designations, but YMMV. Last edited by Greatgardens; February 20, 2021 at 06:00 AM. |

In one day I got two PMs from ddsack and hl2601 that
they'll send me the book from Carolyn. Heide even wrote that she had already ordered it and would send it to me as she ran out. I'm neither a writer nor a poet, so I'll just write: I appreciate it, I'm pleased, I'm moved and thank Heide and Dee. Vladimír |

If Heide has ordered it already, I will let her have the honor of sending it. You are most deserving of a copy, I know you will enjoy it greatly! Thank you for seeds you have shared in the past, I look forward to growing Start F1 this season!
