Orange tomatoes
In the face of a pretty heavy onslaught of bugs and heat, Joseph's HX-9 was a tough one and endured it all.
Here's a few HX-9 and a couple of Orange Russian Doukhobors. HX-9 is a relatively compact plant with determinate traits, in my garden it produced medium, very tasty fruits. Two thumbs up. I'll be saving seeds and selecting for the tough tasty ones. It handled a severe heat wave in stride. OR Doukhobors will be given another shot. So far I like it. hx9 OR dou.jpg |

I got seeds from Ilex for the Ribera one, yes. Was grown grown out for seed production this past summer by three of my now 7 seed producers and I think all is OK,I haven't checked back after I saw that germination was excellent.
And I've gone back to your post above and see no little blue arrow anywhere.Other icons on the lower left, yes, but just ones to report you and the like. Carolyn, who knows she has stuff she can read which others can't,being a Global Mod here, since there's no way you are going to report yourself for an infraction.

As for the tiny little blue arrow, (light blue? silver?) it is the little square icon after the username being quoted...it appears in every quote box. Maybe you're looking too hard? it's just a little square maybe 1/8" by 1/8" with a right arrow ("greater than" symbol.) See it right after "Originally Posted by carolyn137"? |

and Colgar Papuo, which I know is right and then what he called 100 en Pom de la Ribera. I have to contact him about this to confirm, but also some other stuff as well. And now I see that wee blue arrow,I measured it and it's actually 2/8 inches by 2/8 inches. Carolyn edited to add from post 573 as posted by Ilex Yes, I sent 100 en pom de la Ribera. It is a very good tasting de colgar multifleur.

xmas watermelons and a happy bee, today 10/13/2016
Sweet Success F1 Cucumber + Apis (large pics)
sweet success f1 bee2.jpg sweet sucss 2.jpg swett success f1 bee.jpg sweet success F1.jpg Watermelon Baby Doll F1, lots of hot days left, dig the hairs baby doll 3.jpg baby doll 2.jpg baby doll 1.jpg Garden doing well after hardcore thrips and the corresponding TSWV-INSV. Happy I was able to save seeds before they showed up. My interventions (minimal) and weather changes (by far the largest impact) are helping. The worst has passed. Still, today I axed 3 Copper River as a result of TSWV stunting/failure to thrive. Malachite Box continues to impress. Last edited by Gerardo; October 14, 2016 at 03:54 AM. |

The bee on the parthenocarpic Sweet Success flower is a touch ironic. From what I read, cross-pollination is still possible with parthenocarpic varieties. So if any of your Sweet Success cukes have seeds that don't dry out to empty husks, they might be viable.

The old man is holding one truss in each hand, neither of them are the Ribera seeds that I was sent. The left one may be en ramo, even more complicated since Catalan Spanish is not the same as non Catalan. No,I have no seeds for en-ramo, but hope to in the near future. I said above that I would transmit the info that I llex sent me to those who actually grew Ribera, which I did last night. Ribera is still a multiflora but looks nothing like what the old man is holding. I had several seed producers who were growing Ribera and the description originally were large beefsteaks,no longer true. So it was important for me to get back to those who were doing seed production since 2/3 are SSE listed members and have a deadline to meet for the 2017 Yearbook. Carolyn
