Charley, my favorite is Brandy Boy F1. it tastes as good as OP/HEIRLOOM.
The rest of the pinks in my grow out are first timers, like
BW SUDDUTH, PINK GERMAN, PRUDENS PURPLE, and MOORTGAGE LIFTER second time. So I have 5 pink varieties.

I've seen three before but never four. This is a New Big Dwarf seedling. I will definitely keep an eye on it

Amazing !
My theory is that the seed must have had twin embryo in it. So then each contributed two cot leaves. This is different from two separate seeds being fused.

Very cool! I think all my peppers have been boring regular 2cots. Are you going to mark it? Like with a star sticker to watch for improved vigor/production?

No, I have had this happen before in peppers and tomatoes and have never seen any difference. I start hundreds of seeds every year so I think it is just the law of averages. I will see 1 or 2 every year like this, but in every other way they seem no different than any other seedling. Still cool but I guess I'm used to it.

I dropped my first seeds last night: dwarfs, microdwarfs, compact determinates suitable for containers, and high tunnel candidates. I thought I was really holding back this year, but I counted about 40 varieties, and I haven't yet gotten to the ones that will go in the outdoor garden.

This year's seed-starting mix was my regular pro mix combined with extra perlite and some mycogrow, then a handful of Light Warrior, seeds on that after being saturated, then finally a layer of vermiculte, which is what shows in the pic. I sow densely and transplant quickly after sprouting. Just what is in the pic below should make a few hundred plants. They are incubating nicely right now under a 1000watt metal halide light.
