Very nice. My Cowlick's produced decent but where outclassed in production by the ones I mentioned. Now if I where to go on taste alone not only would Cowlick's be there but so would Stump of the World, Earl's Faux and Giant Italian Paste.

About Giant Italian paste, do you eat it raw? And like the taste? I ask because pastes don't typically develop the flavor until cooked.

Chocolate Stripes is an excellent tomato. It is a good producer and has an excellent flavor. It does well considering the heat and humidity here. We plant it every year.

I noticed that about most past tomatoes but not Giant Italian Paste. When I took the first bite I was shocked. To me the taste screams Italy . To me this is something you would want in a paste tomato. Perfect for any Italian dish that calls for tomatoes. Fresh or cooked.

Not everyone thinks that Mexico is bland, maybe for you where you are but maybe not so much for others .

I think I might grow Box Car Willie.
I bought a pack of seeds last year but for some reasons i decided not to grow it.
The not on the packet reads :

For good old-fashioned flavor, grow BCW. This prolific heirloom is better than most hybrids , and its round red fruits are 12 - 16 oz. The indeterminate vines produce excellent crack-free , disease - tolerant tomatoes with a sweet , yet tart flavor .

Sounds very good to me .
