All I can add is that I received some dwarf seeds sent to me from california from Vince (Thanks again) and they did not have padding and I only got 2 of 18 to sprout so my guess is the mail sorters were the issue.

Richard and Neil - thank you! Does this mean I won't have to "camp out" on the Available for Trade thread tomorrow night?!?

If germination is good, perhaps the offer should be changed to SASE and 2-3 seeds/offer... then if you don't get enough interest to use up allthe seeds, go ahead and increase how many are sent.

I too have PayPal and will be more than happy to contribute to the postal fund.
Seems like 3 or 4 seeds per person would be sufficient.

I have no more updates on the germination numbers.

Thanks all.

Well, I had my sleeping bag, coffee and a seed catalogue for whiling away the time, but decided to give up the #12 position to someone else. Will check in with 'retiree', and hopefully get some from that batch of seeds when they arrive in Canada. Thanks to Strax, Richard, Walter and Neil for doing this - it is much appreciated. Good growing to the lucky recipients!

Salix, sorry, I wasn't trying to exclude you folks from the offer. When I saw that Neil had offered to send within Canada I guess I was unaware that he had not received seed yet.

The whole series of events with the seed offer has not gone as smoothly from my end as hoped. I just didn't expect to be waiting on the seed itself once it got to me, and that's my inexperience showing.

No worries, Walter. Wasn't feeling excluded at all, just extremely happy that we get to share these seeds. And I just found out I am definitely on the "Canadian" waiting list, so everything is good. You are to be commended on checking out the germination rates on these seeds, hope they all pop up soon - maybe the second batch was planted in a better lunar cycle? (planning to keep an eye on this as well)

Just got finished sending out 20 of your requests. The DW got me some small poly baggies from Wally World to send these in that are labeled for daily pills, like vitamins. The poor 8 seeds look so lost in the baggie. I could have put all the seed I got in a single baggie.

I've counted the remainder and it was even closer than I thought. I'm now going to open the offer for another 4 takers if there are any more. 8 seeds in each packet. See link above please.

Medbury Gardens has generously said he will send more Hoy seed so please speak up if you want some, so we have an idea what the demand will be.

Plus we have to make him eat even more Hoy tomatoes to produce the seed.

I hope these all germinate for you but I will be interested to see the results. Not every variety's seed all germinate for me, but I do get 100 percent on some. I would love to perfect that skill though.

Offer open #22-#25 please.
Walter
