Vladimir, as I can see you've got very similar country habits with Belarus and Russia. Almost everybody knows which mushrooms are good and used to pick them from May until early November. And there are even winter edible mushrooms!
we call it "quiet hunting" and we are passionate mushroom hunters with my younger daughter as well

Andrey, you are right. I don´t wonder, because Czech, Russian,Slovak,Belarussian,.… are slavs and they have some identical genes all long two milleniums. What mushrooms vegetate in Belarus now?
A nice day Vladimír

I too, would love to see a photo of your remarkable mother in law. I hope I am still able to garden when I am 88, but at my current rate of aches and pains I have my doubts. I wish her many more years of independent living.
My wife was in each cave only once, she doesn´t want there again.

Cyril and Methodius had created old cyrillic alphabet somewhere on the territory of former Czechoslovakia, I think. I have visited the country as an exchange student in the Summer of 1985 or so. We went to Prague for couple of days. It was a memorable beautiful city. I would love to visit again. I remember walking over the bridge with many old scary statues, Karlův most.

Yes, Cyril and Methodius (brother from Solun-Greece) came on the Big Moravia (today southern Moravia and western Slovakia) in 863 year. They taught and inculcated in old slavonic. That is why old cyrillic. Finally latin liturgy (from west) prevailed and conseguently latin calligraphy use in Czech republic (cyrillic alphabet not). 5.6. ( the coming of C+M) is State high day in Czech republic.
I don´t know what I can write about Prague. Prague in 2013 is another than in 1985. It isn´t so grey, buildings and their roofs are made good- the look from Prague castle is beautiful.
Vladimír
PS.: Ella, I very long meditated what I can a nice to write you: I shall to invite you on the drink or a cup of cofee in Prague.

Folks if you will notice in that last picture of my dinning room the tablecloth isn't square and one of the plates is out of line.

I will have my butler talk to the staff, find out who is at fault and have them duly punished.

Nice photos thank you Vladimir.

My dream is to one day be a certified cave diver. In fact, I hope to start taking classes next winter.

When I went to Africa I was told not to photographer the people from Pemba Island. They feel photographs steal their soul.
