Hey BVV,

My impression is that Frogsleap Farm is not going to release varieties until they have been extensively trialed, and that they will be releasing lines that look and taste great AND have disease resistance and other traits.

In short, when they release lines, they will ALL be ridiculously good.

I would probably take this approach too, if I weren't so broke. While I have tried to keep standards high (to protect our brand) I think we are just starting to get ready to release varieties with the type of overall quality needed be profitable. And along the way, we have been taking risks by releasing things that we hope do well, and that we hope don't damage our brand.

Finally harvested Green Bee F1 seed over the weekend (fruits arrived on Friday). Packed up most seeds and orders today, and hope to get the rest done and everything mailed tomorrow.

I know some of you had hoped to get this variety earlier, but the weather was a bit cool in the part of Mexico where we did the seed production this winter.

Sorry for the delays, but hope everyone who gets this unique new tomato this year finds ways to enjoy them.

Default They are here

I received the Green Bee seeds today. It is SUPER late for starting seeds now, but I'm going to sow 2 seeds anyway since cherries are much more forgiving by setting tomatoes when night time lows are >70 in May.

If it works, I will have fresh tomatoes in the summer.

Thanks for the BONUS's too!!!

Just wanted to update; I sowed the 2 seeds and transplanted them really early since I don't have much time left before the night time temps get too high for fruit set.

One plant I stuck in an Earthbox and the other in a root pouch. Both have taken off and are flowering. These are fast growers.

I've had ripe fruit for a couple of weeks. I haven't eaten any though; waiting b/c they last long and soon there will be no more tomatoes to pick.
