Seedling with 4 !!! cotyledons ! (NEW PIC / PIC HEAVY) - Page 4

Lisa,
I'm trying so hard to get my digital
camera to work ...
batteries just suck the life
out of it ...
Getting the picture ? Ok ~
But then extracting them from
the camera into my program here
at work? Oh so difficult ~

I can say its grown like a candycane ...
And has now set up one regular leaf
straight up from the top of that "S"...

It was started in Feb. and its still
only 2-3 inches tall with no grow lights
(the others are close to 8 inches) ,
only natural sunlight
(through my south facing window) ...
Def. a mutant ... but I'm not tossing it !

I will see what I can do tonight ~

Lisa,

Alittle "mark feronish" ,
but I was able to get this shot
with my fingers over the flash so
it wouldn't be "too-bright" ~

If you notice the circular
spot towards the base,
and look close, the seed leaves are
still there (1 being much larger than the rest)
and the "sucker" growing straight up from it ~

How are all the tri-cots doing out there?
My Quad-Cot seems like it wants
to forget its "odd-ball" beginings
and join the rest of the bunch ~

Looks like I'll be able to transplant
it deeper , and get past that weird
bump thing on the stem were the four
seed leaves are ~

re- batteries for digi camera, lots of people have that problem with their cameras- but there are now available on the net AA rechargable NiMH Batteries that are 2600 ma, and going higher each year, that are so long lasting you can average 300 to 400 shots per charge, and that usualy solves all the camera problems.the very best ones and most reliable ones are made by ( Sanyo ) and there is a chap on the net who specialises in them- just cant remember his web address though at the moment.

Very interesting plant- wonder what it will turn out like eventualy- possibly a very strange oddity indeed !.

Just got home from my trip and of course the first thing I did was dart out the back door to check on my precious babies....and Ida Gold, my quad-cot, is doing wonderfully! It has fruit about around as the tip of my pinkie and is only being out done by Glacier which is an earlier variety anyways. Glad to see your baby is doing better Tom!

And we had the same problem with the digital camera batteries and have switched already to the rechargable ones, which are slightly better.

Yes thats a good one- thomas-distributing, I have bought batteries from there in the past and they usualy have a very up to date list of new batteries on the market- but I wouldnt settle for anything less than 2500 to 2600 ma NiMH rechargables if I were you, they last about twice as long as an average Duracell battery, plus the fact that you can recharge them from 600 to 1,000 times, think of the massive saving in costs over the years.

I just got one of those 8 megapixels Cybershots by sony, what an awsome camera and so tiny too! I took some pictures of my Ida Gold and now I'm gonna have to learn how to transfer them to the computer and then I'll post them here. The fruits are larger than I expected, about ping pong ball sized. But they're still green, no ripe fruit off of my quad-cot super seedling yet!

mine is in the garden - growing just fine -
plenty of leaves , but still very small ...
I am not sure if it will grow to be the same size as the other "normal" mortgage lifter transplant ~

Well I planted the Ida Gold about two months ago and I ate my very first tomato from it on the 31st of May! Sadly it did not mature any soon than expected for it DTM despite being a healthy quad-cot. LOL But it was fun anyways!
