Celeriac seed, like its relatives, is slow to germinate, 3 to 4 weeks is not unusual. Also doesn’t seem to remain viable very long.

Striped Marsh Frog
Was cleaning up with the advent of snake season here, not to mention all the grass that has suddenly taken off, when I saw this fine fellow and several of its mates.
This is a striped Marsh Frog as were the other two that I saw. We also get the Southern Brown Tree Frog and the eastern Banjo Frog or Pobblebonk. |

Venus Fly Trap
The kids decided to "nominally" give me a Venus fly trap for fathers day last year. I say nominally as I am not sure they released their claim on them or not. Anyway one has decided to flower

Cherax destructor
Put the yabby traps in the dam to see if we could get a few for a feed. Found some. Smaller one went back, bigger ones into the pot.Yum-oh. Bait was a Yellowtail Scad, about 6 inches long for size. They were still a bit dopey from the cold water, so gloves were not really necessary, but I had them on doing some gardening when the kids remembered the traps.

Has the Garden of Woz had its tomato crop planted yet?
I've had mine in for a couple of weeks now and have started bagging blossom already. |

Thanks to Mcsee and his wife for helping out Mum and Dad planting out the majority of the tomatoes that needed to go in here today. Have not tallied up how many were planted, probably 75 to 80 with another 10 varieties to go. Most will be single plants apart from a couple of Beauty spin-offs that I am growing on. Will see around 100 plants in total.

Glad to help out Woz. Pity it was so hot and we didn't get them all in the ground.

Warm it was, Mcsee and considering that I had not been able to get all the ground prepared previously due to this injury, progress was very good. Thanks again
