Thanks so much everyone for all the suggestions.

I remember growing Rutgers as one of the first tomatoes I grew as a little kid at about age 6 or 7....I think it's time to plant it again.

Some of the tomatoes suggested this is the first time I have ever hear of them....I will have to look them up.

Nepal was one I considered for last year but never grew it for some reason. I will have to give that one a shot this season.

I forgot to ask Camochef where to get seeds for Tarasenko6 and Bear Creek?

I would like to try those also this year if I can get seeds in time!

Jim,
I received seeds for both of those from some very generous members of this forum.
Due to a very poor year last season and some other reasons I won't go into, I no longer have seeds available to share. Tatiana's would be a good place to check for availability if you don't get a response from others here. Good Luck! Both are well worth searching for. Enjoy!

ANother great medium red: TAUPO OP from New Zealand. It was a standout in my garden last year even though it was an awful season.

Thanks Jeff and Camo.

I like it that you try varieties that are less well known....it keeps things fun and you never know what kind of awesome tomato you might end up growing!
