Bing Cherry - August 20
Another Tom Wagner's creation. Very interesting coloring. I have not tasted it yet, as I am still waiting for fruits to fully turn red after I picked them on Aug 20th.

Matt's Wild Cherry - August 20
I totally forgot about these two plants that I tacked away in a remote corner of my garden - so when I 'found' them, they were loaded with ripe fruits. Great balanced taste. Needless to say that I have neglected to water these plants for a very long time, and they did not complain!

Izumrudnoe Yabloko - August 20
A first fruit was a real alien tomato. We called it 'Teddy' and ate it for dinner. It was OK, but not great. Teddy's younger brothers and sisters however were quite tasty - perhaps they have not been yet taken over by aliens?

Grub's Mystery Green RL - August 20
It seems to be the day of green-when-ripe tomatoes
This is a fruit I am truly proud of - a perfect GWR, with some blush just the way I like it, and a perfect smooth flesh with just enough juice to make the taste exquisite. Wonderfully flavored. The only problem with this tomato is that the plant came from seeds I saved from my PL GMG in 2007. So it continues to flip-flop the leaf on me!

Al-Kuffa - August 20
I actually picked the first few fruits on July 20, a month ago. The plants continue to produce a trickle of ripe fruits every week or so. Nice texture and flavor. Tall dwarf plants, pretty productive.

Typical paste tomato, dry flesh, almost no juice. Impressive production on compact determinate plants.

Emerald - August 22
I think this is an absolutely outstanding green cherry tomato. I got seeds from a SSE Yearbook, from a member who selected and stabilized it. It has the exquisite flavor of Aunt Ruby's German Green tomato, and matures earlier.
I am also growing Aunt Ruby's German Green Cherry, and by now it is clear that these two are very different. ARGGC has not matured any fruit yet, and fruits are more flattened and lighter green in color.

Auntie Madge - August 22
I usually expect oval shaped cherries to be somewhat dry, but this one was juicy and very nice. Not many seeds per fruit.

Mammoth German Gold - August 22
Sweet, like most of the bicolors. Remarkable late blight tolerance.
Super productive and early here!

I am so happy to finally be able to collect some seeds for this variety. This is one of these that I lost last year.
