When I joined DG many years ago, and that b'c I was then at AOL only and someone had moved to DG and asked if I'd please go there as well, and there were no membership fees and when they were added there were three folks who were given kind of free passes, if you will. Those were Tom Wagner, Jere Gettle and myself. Jere made one post many years ago, I can't recall Tom ever making one there but I hang on. Just got my notice that I'm good until Oct 14th, 2014, and so it goes. Carolyn, who thinks she had said to Melody at one time, Melody was at GW and was kicked out by Spike ( then owner) b'c she mentioned DG in a post, that she, Carolyn, would never pay money to post anywhere.

Thank you!
I bought membership for one year and found it wasn't worth it to keep paying so I only access the free stuff. The Plant Files and Garden Watchdog are excellent free resources.

So sorry to see this. Gary was one of the first seed traders I got involved with long ago with my boy's. We traded many times and he will be greatly missed.
Thanks for posting this and letting us all know. I bet he'll be growing one beautiful garden in Heaven! |

I am so far behind on Tomatoville for a lot of reasons....but I had no idea Gary passed away. I know his wife had many health issues as did he.....but my memory of him is arriving for the first Choptag event I went to.....he was the first one there! And immediately he greeted me and my buddy Pat and was the most gracious and genuine person I have ever met. Bless you Gary and your wife Katherine....
