I have 2 BCC plants that went into the ground on May 22. Wild Boar Farms sells some plants locally and I got mine at the Seed Bank in Petaluma. They were a little spindly from being indoors, but have settled in and look ready to start growing. This is my first time trying BCC, hope they do well for me.

My first flush of BCC were similar in size to SunGold but were teardrop shaped. They soon diminished in size and were not much bigger than Ildi. Taste is insipid. Will not grow again. My plant was grown in an earthbox with new ProMix.

I now had 2 ripe fruits and I didn't like the flavor. Or there just was no flavor. Just mealy and tasteless, no sweetness, nothing.
Butt well, those were the first 2 fruits AND our weather was really bad so far, not much sun at all. I'll post here again later in the season...

On the other hand, Amethyst Cream Cherry had a surprisingly good flavor!! Especially because it is always labled mild. Not sweet (yet) but with a complex tomato flavor.

Mine never had any flavor. And they were in a prime spot.

Pruning will promote more flowers per truss, not the other way around. It's either lack of enough sun (I'm assuming these had full day sun) or not quite as good nutrition.

Has any one else the problem that the green fruits tend to fall down pretty easily? Like you slightly touch them while handling the plant and they drop down... I'm really gentle with my plants, never had this with any other tomato plant but here I've already lost a bunch of fruits that were far from ripening...

Might have the Jointless gene... Juliet and many others have it. Doesn't matter how ripe fruits may be--after heavy winds you'll find fruit on the ground. I think Eva Purple Ball does this to ripe fruits but not sure if it has the gene or not.
