I am looking for another yellow/gold , mostly orange than yellow. Because my Azochka is a pretty gold color and love it.
My criteria Are:
== Productive
== Fruit size 6 oz ++
== Tangy , sweet side
== cool climate tolerant
== POSSIBLY determinate type.
== Disease resistance is a plus, but not required.
== OP/Heirlum
== No KB, KBX

Any recommendations out there to fit the bill ?
Thanks in advance !

Sakharnyi Zheltyi (aka Sugary Yellow)

Yes == Productive.
Yes == Fruit size 6 oz ++
Sweet, but not tangy == Tangy , sweet side
Clearly == cool climate tolerant
Nope == POSSIBLY determinate type.
Russian vigour == Disease resistance is a plus, but not required.
OP == OP/Heirlum
Nope == No KB, KBX

TomatoBase is down but Casey's has a representative picture & description.

While I was in Jeff's site I noticed one called "Orange Heirloom" which might be more suitable - orange, and taste described as "combination of tartness with fruity overtones." I can certainly speak for SZ, but not OH.

My KBX are finally starting to ripen. There's a fair amount of fruit considering I lost a lot to BER. But it has only started to take off when it got extremely hot. I've eaten two so far. Too soon for me to judge taste wise. If only AGG were more productive,

Left to right:
Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye, Moreton F1, Lemon Boy F1, Sakharnyi Zheltyi (Sugary Yellow), Sakharnyi Pudovichok (Sugary Pounder), Moskvich, Early Girl F1. This SZ is .46 lb. All prior were a bit bigger, but all under a pound.

You tie my hands by sayng "Heirloom" but I have tried about 12 or so. My favorites for taste and production are both the same. Valencia and Dixie Golden Giant. Also, the striped Old German is very good. Grew a lot of duds, like Kelloggs...., Moon Glow, Golden Jublee, Golden Queen. Taxi did okay, but I don't recall it having a very good flavor.
Fusion, good to see you like Manyel. It's on my list for next year.

RJ, where would someone get Sakharnyi Zheltyi seeds. I was trying to search for them but don't see any companies.

@ RJG,
The sakharnyi Zheltyi is the color I like. My Azoycha is like Lemon Boy in color.
I am also growing Big Rainbow but not impressed with its production. So it won't come back next season.

Azoychka is quite weird sometimes, especially in sunny hot periods, that it makes the skin color gold, but inside it's still pale yellow. Also it's a bit of a bicolor, almost all the fruits have a bit of light pink inside at the bottom end, if fully ripe.

zipcode,
Yeah, Azoychka is more pale inside than outside when ripe. Like you mentioned, it is due to direct sun probably.
Also some of them have a tinge of pink but not much.
It has thin skin and get sun scald because of that, I think.
Relatively speaking, it is a good producer and fairly early. That is why I like it. The taste is about average.

Off the top of my head, we have grown KBX, Kellogg's Breakfast, Amana Orange, Dad's Sunset Orange, Nebraska Wedding, Orange Minsk, Orange Strawberry, Casey's Pure Yellow, Brandywine Yellow Platfoot, Yoder's German Yellow, Aunt Gertie's Gold, Azoychka, Dr. Wyche's Yellow and possibly one or two others I'm forgetting. The hands down winner for us is KBX. It's one of the earlier ones, big, tastes good, big, healthy plants, not as many ugly/catfaced as many of the others, just all around best in our opinion.

"Yellow Dwarf" - supposed to be Rosella Crimson but was yellow and a winner in our household tastings.

I had a bicolor this year called Northern Lights. It was exceptionally juicy and sweet.

The link in my prior post was to Casey's Heirloom where Jeff has them listed under "Sugary Pounder"

Is that a co relation between sweentness and yellow color ?

Years ago That I was REALLY novice, I had herd that yellow tomatoes are more sweet than red one. I know that my Azoychka does not fit that bill.
Any ideas ?

Gardeneer.
