Thanks Carolyn, I do see that they are two different tomatoes....saw the one comment where someone deemed it superior to IS, but many also say very similar. Just wondered if anyone here that had grown both could give their opinions. I simply do not have space for all I would love to grow

Thanks to Gerardo for the DB seeds. Maybe I'll save them for 2017. Now, where are my darts................

I had already conceded that I was growing ISPL and DB this year.

@Jillian, You can't go wrong growing either of these by the sounds of it, or one of them, meaning don't decide! Grow them both and cut something else out!

If your like me Jillian, it just got a whole more difficult to decide for '16! Ginger/Marsha's seed offer is open and now Gardenboy just posted his seed offer as well!

Indeed. I do have seeds coming from Marsha, what an impressive list and she does so well providing us with those beautiful pics! Trying to choose wisely.......I need more space

I love JD's Special C-Tex. It is similar to Indian Stripe but a bit more productive in my garden: JD's 17.9 pounds to IS 12.5 pounds last year.
Another great black tomato is Girl Girl's Weird Thing 15.9 pounds. Tasty and beautiful.

Brandywine Sudduth 15.8 pounds.
Cowlick Brandywine 18.5 pounds.
This two produce later in my garden. I pick some of them green in October to ripen indoors.

I would recommend Elgin Pink. It ripens mid season. Was en excellent tomato for me. 21.4 pounds.

All great tasting tomatoes.

To complicate things further, Sam's Sweet Ozark Orange should be mentioned. High recommend. Parents were Dr Wyche's Yellow x German Red Strawberry, and it must have been a blizzard or blackout, their offspring tastes great and is very strong on all fronts.

You're right Gerardo about SOO, I didnt grow it last year but it seems that SOO and George Detsikas Italian Red are both superstars here at TV!

I actually got my first big ripe fruit from George on July 10th here in Tacoma. I plan on testing SOO here in the PNW in '16.
