That first group did not germinate for me.

I will start the remaining seeds with my second sowing in May. I am leaving for vacation in three weeks and don’t want to be waiting for germination or pot up while I’m gone. I’m going to babysit this next group. If they take extra time to germinate, I’d like to be here to nurse them through it.

My trip was rescheduled to late May due to business issues, so I ended up starting the remaining three seeds via paper towel method last night. I will keep you posted.

Two days ago, I planted 60 F3 seeds and 24 of last year's F2 seeds just for the fun of it and because I had some open cells that needed filling.
As of today, 13 of the 16 seeds in the test batch have sprouted. Hope the real batch fares as well.

Got roughly 40 seedlings out of the 60 seeds I planted. Not really good germination rate. I also plant 30 of last season's F2 that produced the fruit in the photo on the first post. Almost every one of those produced a seedling. So there is definitely something about this batch of F3 seeds that caused lower than average germination rates. But I at least I have several seedlings. I can only fit a few in my own garden. I have friends and family that will grow some. So hoping for the best. Good luck to those who are trying these out. Sorry for poor germination. I can't explain it.

So far, my remaining seeds have not germinated either. I am just going to leave them in the mini greenhouse and hope they are just slow.

i decided to sow 3 more seeds last week because none of the original were coming up and one finally decided to sprout today!!!

I've got 6 plants of my own going and gave several away to local gardeners. All of mine are showing multiple clusters of small fruit. They all have dark and light green striping. and presently all around golf ball size. I'm hoping for some large sandwich slicers. Here are some pics from three different plants. All looking pretty consistent at this point.

mine went in the ground a little later than i like but it's starting to set some fruit now...plant growing nicely,i'll try to get some pics up when they get bigger

Starting to Get a bunch of these from 6 plants. Each Plant has many of these little beauties. Most of the ones in these photos aren't quite ripe yet. I pick all my fruit when they first blush so the critters won't get them. When these ripen a bit, I'll post pics of them sliced. So far, I like the taste. Definitely, not acidic. More like a Cherokee Purple.
These plants have not developed the disease that all my other plants have developed as they do every year around this time. Very Productive too.

So here's a surprise. I planted some of last years seeds that were saved from the same multi-colored fruit that are shown in previous posts. These are a bit plum shaped and a bit meaty but still a little juicy. They are sweet and not acidic. I've saved some of these seeds for next year.

I have a couple of plants that are producing these tennis ball sized fruit. These are more to my liking than the smaller ones. I've saved these seeds and will give them a try next season. If I could stabilize this in this size and color, I'd be happy.
