20190410_172326.jpgThese are my new (to me) Chef's Choice Black. If it will ever dry out some, I'll be gettin them in the ground.... I grew the Chef's Choice Pink last year, and was highly impressed, so I'm really looking for great things out of the Black version.

New Big Dwarf is also a regular-leaf plant.

Pollinator plants in front of the tomato plants
This year I omitted two tomato plants from from the usual and customary tomato plant area in order to have a small pollinator area. You can see some of the tomato plants in back of the flowers.

Monster Big Hill.
Lofthouse's Big Hill, sown Jan. 1, is shown April 14, 2019. The seed for this particular plant was taken from a tomato that was harvested in Austin, Texas on June 17, 2018. Perhaps there was some unintended cross-pollenization. Of the five seeds that were sown this year, all germinated. They are outgrowing all other tomatos planted at the same time in the same medium All are more than three times the size of a regular Big Hill planted this year. Sent Joseph a few of the same seeds for his consideration. Have hopes for a good-tasting fruit. The plants are about 34-inches tall. Others are already in the ground and those in our garden have blossoms as shown here.

Looks good but that stick isn't helping the plant at all. |

Up here our plants are a lot shorter this time of year.
I started the dwarfs early, a few peppers too. Plants are in three locations and it's a bit of musical chairs til they all get outside as it slowly warms up. |

African blue basil
I've got four or five plants in my semi shade area. And yes, the bees like it.

12 X 8 Greenhouse ready to go after frost risk has gone.
Planting 9 X Sungold 5 X Gardeners Delight around the sides and back and hopefully 4 or 5 RED Alert in pots down the centre. Most of the images do not show here, such a pity. https://i.postimg.cc/T3TNhtYt/IMG-0261-2.jpg Last edited by xellos99; April 18, 2019 at 01:53 PM. Reason: images not showing |
