Default Look what I found.

I was looking in a closet for something and ran across this complete never been used set of glasses.
They are now washed and ready to be put to use.
My wife had a habit of getting gifts and putting them away without using them.
I have no idea how long we have had them.
They are of the Libby brand.
I detest plastic drinking containers, this is a real find.

I didn't like plastic as a child and I like it even less now.
At one time in my life I worked in chemical plants that made all sorts of it.
At some stage in the production of plastics the up stream ingredients are carcinogenic.
Not only that I can taste the chemicals when I drink from them.
Leave a plastic bottle of water out in the sun and see how nasty it will taste.

My husband won't eat off of paper plates, I guess he must have come from royalty, lol! Nice glasses Worth. Some scotch and a few pieces of ice in them would be good, along with some pickled okra
My grandmother used to fry the okra then it was cooked with meat in a tomato sauce served over a Middle Eastern style rice. I just couldn't stand the texture of cooked okra.

I haven't had a paper or polystyrene plate in the house in over a year.
My wife used them and I wouldn't.
She said I was spoiled.
I did break down and buy a ton of paper towels because I was making sausage.
I was continually washing wiping spraying Windex and using Clorox wipes.
The process of making white paper is highly polluting also.

I like Libby brand. I got this from Marshals (my favorite store) for the coffee at 4 for $7.99 or so. You can pour hot or cold in it and even use in microwave.
I do not like paper/plastic plates, prefer my Corelle.

I only use paper for large crowds of company when it's a BBQ and we are outdoors. But generally I only use regular dishware. I do confess I love paper towels, sadly, lol!

Okay guys this got started while looking for an obscure tool to post in the other thread.
I found the box of glasses and it went down hill from there.
I needed a place to put the new glassware and I ended up turning my kitchen into a disaster area.
Reorganization was in real need.

I can't wait for someone to ask me where I keep my drinking glasses.
This is ridiculous.

Man, this is a lot of work for one tool.
BTW, I like your plates. You got them recently, I think. What brand are they?

This makes me think of what a pain it was trying to find places for everything to fit when we downsized earlier this year (4 bedroom 2 story 1957 sq ft house to a 1/1 685 sq ft apartment). We're lucky that our little apartment has a practically full sized kitchen, but it's got half the cabinet and pantry space I'm used to, so a lot of stuff had to go and we had to get creative in storing what was left. Lots of those little wire shelves were used. Worst part is the cabinet shelves themselves are flimsy as all get out so anything heavy needs to be placed lower or they start to buckle. It is a pretty kitchen, though, so I ain't complainin', but I also don't have any advice to offer!

They are just Better Homes and Gardens porcelain I bought at Wal-Mart.
I never shop there but they seem to be good quality.
