Sweet pickles just like Mom used to make.
How do I know? Because I helped her make them. Worth IMG_20150725_8228.jpg |

Here you go Ella one rustic homemade hamburger bun baked in a terracotta saucer.
It was removed brushed with olive oil and returned to brown. Worth IMG_20150726_22914.jpg IMG_20150726_31892.jpg IMG_20150726_56425.jpg Last edited by Worth1; July 26, 2015 at 04:10 PM. |

A few comments on cooking with the terracotta saucers and lead.
Lead contamination comes from glazing not red iron oxidized clay. These planter saucers are not glazed. Porosity of the clay and bacteria/germs. Well maybe but not likely they are seasoned and besides they get hot enough to kill anything big enough to die. I am not a germaphobe. Acid leaches lead from things. I am not using acids or storing anything in them. I feel completely safe. Not food grade. I couldn't care less. Worth |

Chanterelles from my woods.
Thinly slice onion or leek, fry till crisp in a little olive oil and butter. Add chopped chanterelles to pan and cook. Serve with eggs and toast. Sorry no after pics. Always know exactly what each mushroom you eat is. Some can make you sick, others can kill. These were delicious. |
