Actually, you were right saying my toms would recover. They are doing so right now thanks to a spell of warm weather. My hopes for a good season have risen (but not too high).

Yes, of course.
Do you have an compost? Please give your plants a shovel from it. I use it as mulch.

PS: use your polytunnel from the beginnung of planting! I do this, too. and - when the weather is ok, they come away. Please let the bows in the earth, perhaps you need them again. You can plant the "mini" tomatoes like Cherry falls, Balconi red and Yellow under a tunnel and you have the effect from a greenhouse.

Hello Anneliese,
I'll repeat myself, but you deserve it: your plants are wonderful. And I have to tell you that you were right saying my toms would survive the misery. Not only did they survive, but they are growing vigorously now that the weather has turned almost hot. They actually caught me with my pants down and the number and size of shoots is quite hard to manage now.

your plants are looking great! You will get a lot of ripe tomatoes.
Yes, with me the weather is similar to yours. It is very hot. Today I did above my tomatoes a green UV repellent foil. I hope, that it works.
You can use newspapers, too. but - this is too much work with so many plants.

you've got very nice veggies. No surprise as they get excellent care.
Some good news from the neighbor: my first tomato in the garden has just started to blush. Surprisingly, it's Crimson Crush otherwise not known for its earliness. My favorites have let me down a bit. So I hope they'll make up for that by being excellent in taste.

I have already had a few peppers even though far from full maturity. I want to take away some "load" from the plant.

my harvest is little..with me it is raining, and raining...
My husband did 14 tomatoes from the garden on my balcony today. They are in pots.
I have a roof above the blacony.
The other plants are in the greenhouses. At the moment my tomatoes don't taste!!!
I cross my fingers that you get your tomatoes "red"
