Since I didn't stabilize it myself I'm going to have to grow it out again to check for variation before I list it. The grower who sent the seeds to my father said it was the only tomato he has grown for years (I'll have to see if I can get a number) and he saved the seeds every year.

Although, you probably will find a few seeds of "Fourth of July (OP)" in your order (to trial) if you agree to not disseminate them until I am satisfied they are stable.

Just like to thank Steve at Heritage. Tried to place an order and the PayPal was turned off for foreign orders. Sent an e-mail from the site and Steve responded both via e-mail and a PM here at TV. He unlocked the Paypal and I was able to place my order. Good stuff and many thanks.

Thank you Ami, and I apologize for the inconvenience. With the type of shopping cart I'm using it seems "international shipping" is either all-or-nothing... and, I don't see any way to limit shipping to just certain countries in Paypal. I will have to consider a more complete shopping cart for next season.

I have a couple of questions I hope you don't mind answering.

First what camera are you using for your pictures? they are really nice

and second. What are some really good varieties of Dahlias for cut flowers? I need some that hold up well and have good sturdy stems.. and if you can give me a good source for tubers, that would be appreciated as well.

Thanks for the compliment on the photos. For the photos with the white background I use a 2' x 4' piece of white board bent at a 90 degree angle (It's the kind of thin board they use to build shower enclosures, I bought it at Home Depot) The board is keep in the shade inside my greenhouse so it is actually a large open-ended light box that allows me to spray the tomatoes with water before taking the photos. Sometimes I'm in such a hurry I get the light/focus wrong but this setup generally works well for me. I use an old Canon 10D SLR body with a 28-130mm zoom lens. My sister takes all of the more creative photos with the various backgrounds, and uses a Sigma SLR.

For cut flower dahlias I use mostly varieties that I have hybridized myself specifically for my brokers. I can recommend this fairly new grower in Montana as a tuber supplier: http://dahlias.eldenworks.com/ Contact David and tell him what you are looking for - he sells cut dahlias so will be able to recommend some varieties to you.
