I'm looking at what to order right now. I am obviously going to have to order the low tunnel plastic, but I am wondering if I have to order the hoop wires, too, or if I can get by with something local.
https://www.agriculturesolutions.com...00-coil-detail Wire Coil for Custom Low Tunnel Hoops 0.135" Dia. (500' Coil)....$90 plus 30 lb shipping weight Converting that to gauge, makes it roughly 7.5 gauge. http://www.csgnetwork.com/wireconversiontable.html 7 0.1443 8 0.1285 9 0.1144 I can buy 9 gauge wire for about half the price: http://www.menards.com/main/building...07295610350540 I have some right now. I guess I should try making a few hoops out of it. |

a (possibly) helpful tip with using the #9 wire; It usually comes in coils roughly 30 inch diameter or so, while still coiled up, pick one spot on the coil (preferably at one of the ends), and cut straight through the entire coil at once. That will give you your prebent hoops
