Pink and Purple Bumble Bee are now both available as grafted plants (for all of you warm-weather folks with disease issues...)

Our Artisan Seeds website is not up yet. We missed our Dec 1 target, in part because we had two websites to build this winter.
Our first one is now up, and the Artisan Seeds website should follow in the next week or so. Sorry for the delays. |

Sales of Artisan Seeds from our farm blog are now closed.
However, we just finished up our new website, and it will be turned on shortly at www.growartisan.com |

Just a quick note about Fred's Grey Dog Teas. My daughter got me some for Christmas and I am impressed. They're quite complex (I can't pick out all of the herb components in the Chili Mint Herb Tea) and to me the pepper characteristics are that of a spicy frying type, they're not really "hot" at all.
And for my house, the fact that they have peppers in them make sure that they're all mine. A very unique product. |

Latest update on growartisan.com (our website and online store):
The site should be up today or tomorrow. We are finalizing things with PayPal, and the process is almost finished. The period between Christmas and New Years was not the best time to do business... |

Our website is now visible at growartisan.com
We can not take orders just yet, but you can now see what is available. You can now also register for an account. I will be emailing everyone who registers, to inform them when the site is ready to take orders (within hours or days). It is crazy how long this has taken. |

Purple Bumblebee shows up on the site so you should be in luck as soon as ordering goes "live"

Hi Granite,
We only have 3 tomato varieties to sell this year. We will have a few more next year. We are using our own website to highlight new releases, and other exceptional rare varieties. We will never have large numbers of tomatoes, and our overlap with other sites will be minimal. For details on what we are doing, please see the "about us" section (visible when you mouse over "contact us" -- at www.growartisan.com Some of our tomatoes are available elsewhere (Blush and Maglia Rosa) Tomatoes available at our site (anytime now): Purple Bumble Bee, Pink Bumble Bee, Captain Lucky Tomatoes available in the coming fall at our site: Sunrise Bumble Bee, Spike (our "black zebra"), Green Tiger, Pink Tiger, Sunol (an orange paste) and likely a couple more. |

Hi Fred,
Captain Lucky sounds really interesting, and I plan on ordering it when your site goes live. Have you figured out how many days to maturity it is? Or even early vs late? Season length doesn't matter too much for my location; I'm just curious when one would expect fruit. (Oh, why does the tomato "to try" list keep getting longer???) |

I need to look at my notes, and add approximate dates to first ripe fruit, after transplant.
Thanks for the suggestion. |
