Your welcome, I will check the 3600 I took on the DSLR and see if there is anything different and add them to here. If I can work out how to post video, I will add a couple here of the devils being fed, they can be very funny

Spirit of Tasmania
As promised, I am starting to work through the Tassie photos and all trips start and end here if you are taking your car over. Spirit of Tasmania 1 and 2 are externally identical, cabin layout may vary slightly . They are drive on, drive off vessels and carry trucks as well as cars over and back.

More from Wings
I will try and keep these additions roughly in day order as to when we were at the various venues.
Ringtail Possums curled up in some pipe, Tango the blue and Yellow Macaw, two of some sugar gliders, two of a swamp harrier, one of our less frequently seen raptors, a pair of Tawny frogmouths, two shots of a Yellow wattled wattlebird (those bits hanging down its front are wattles) and a capybara |

Devil Encounter
A few shots of our devil encounter, this little one loves its cuddles by all accounts. Showing off its teeth, claws and eyes and ears. Both the eyes and ears glow red at night in light and with their growling while feeding, it is no wonder they got named devils.

Devil Markings
The amount of white on each devil varies from region to region with 5 pattern based areas defined within Tasmania. The markings are unique to each devil

Lawnmowers
In some of the Devil enclosures at wings they have living lawnmowers. While a group of the devils would have the potential to kill these animals, that is not their normal mode of feeding. The keepers are just hoping that the lawnmowers don't die suddenly one night..... for then they would be devil food

I used to have an orange Tabby that stood up like a MeerKat constantly.
It was very weird. |

Great photos, what a joyful experience to interact with all the animals.

Thanks ddsack, plenty more photos to come as I sort through the rest of them. The kids loved the animals, especially the experience with the Devil, still talked about more than the Meerkats

High drama for the children - love seeing the excitement on their faces!
And the Southern Boobook Owl... didn't know owls could be so cute! Lol |
