^ well I wasn't going to post again today since I posted some pics I had shot yesterday. But then I got home and some num num's were looking to be taken in to the warm kitchen.

What I picked after work
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342047626.752063.jpg

Blak Krim, Cherokee purps, bloody butchers, jalapeños, strawberry. Those other smaller ones that are not in the bowl are supposedly golden jubilee but there is no way that they are G.J.

My tomatoes are still "green" with envy.

I would have thought crandrews beach garden would have washed away by now.

How do you keep the beach bums out of it?

What are the larger tomatoes with the green shoulders not in the bowl?

The multi colored/green one in the front-right is Cherokee Purple I believe.
The one in the back is a Black Krim.

Looks like an Arbuznyi to me.

Thats what I thought, but he didn't list Arbuznyi.

In Russian, Arbuznyi means watermelon I read and I can see why looking at your photo. Most people say it is because of the shape of the Arbuznyi leaf. It supposedly looks like the leaf of a water melon plant. The plants I've grown look like tomato leafs so I think the tomato looks like an exotic watermelon. I don't remember my Arbuznyi having the fluted or ruffled shoulders as displayed in the photo.

That Arbuznyi is so beautiful! How lucky we are to have instant photos beamed to our electronic devices. Thanks for that photo!

Well came out and sprayed my weekly neem and molasses mix. Watered the tomatoes, everything else will get watered tomorrow. Peppers are all setting tons of fruit and Mators are just begining to pump.

This is just a few of the varieties I'm growing.

Crandrew,

I'm curious about something! When I select a tomato variety that I want to grow, I usually research varieties other folks have tried and reported good results on. From those comments and my research, I determine what I want to grow. I'm usually not interested in growing a variety which has been produced and named by only one or two people. I prefer to grow tomatoes which have seed availability for many other people.

The two varieties you mentioned are totally unfamiliar to me. What is your process to select varieties to grow?

Ted
