Wow! This has become very difficult!
I'm saving my vote until the official end of the Northern hemisphere tomato season. (Who is the referee for this game?) So far, I'm most fascinated by Jayc's, but I don't think it is ugly at all. We should have a few categories. Maybe ones like, Most Unusual, Most Ugly, Most Suggestive, Most Unappetizing, Most Human Looking, or Most Artistic. Anybody else desperate to find a way to vote for more than one, or is it just me? |

Escape!
This one fell off the plant when I was reaching to pick another. It's ripening on the counter, but the part along the opening is shriveling up. I'm glad I photographed it green. This is Shadow Boxing from Tom Wagner. I think something is trying to escape!
Maybe there's an alien inside every tomato just trying to get out?!? EEeeeeeewwww! |

Robin, it's a good thing you didn't eat that thing!
If you did, a few days from now you would have been sitting at the table with your kids, just minding your own business, and suddenly something would have ripped out of your stomach, scampered across the table, (Dripping acidic tomato juice everywhere) headed out the door and dug down into the nearest pile of dirt. Then your poor kids would have been trapped in the house trying to keep out the crazy alien tomato monster that is growing at exponential rates out in the garden. Or not. Just sayin', that thing is a little scary. (I just hope it's really dead.) Last edited by livinonfaith; August 30, 2012 at 12:50 AM. |

Yikes! Ugly is one thing, but I'm happy to say I've never seen the likes of "Teddy" or Robin's entry in my garden! Those are the creepiest looking fruits I've ever seen, and Robin, your's is the creepiest. Not casting my vote quite yet, but I think that's going to be hard to beat.

I think both Robin and I have tomato aliens permanently established in our gardens.
