Yes it will have a retaining wall and will terrace my way down the slope.

I am going to try sweet taters this spring and always try to grow edibles in it year round.

Just a thought, I wonder if there is a plant that grows like a trumpet vine or morning glory that only grows a couple of feet?

I went out tonight and found snails eating my baby lettuce.
Three were ganged up on one baby it didn't stand a chance.

Now I know where it has been going.

Worth do you like arugula? Have you ever grown it? I can send some seeds if you like. Had arugula all summer long untill deep frost kiled it. Some of it was eaten a bit, thinking by crickets, but most untouched, unlike lettuce or kale. I just scatter the seeds where i want them. It did not mind growing in partial shady spots, but enjoyed extra moisture that came in the fall and early winter.

I bet Worth would love it because he likes radishes and it has a bit of a peppery taste to it. I love to eat the flowers!!!!

I love the flowers too, and i don't mind when it bolts. It keeps producing tasty leaves, flowers, and seeds to plant the next year.

Worth, if you ever change your mind, there will be seeds for you!

Maybe a little bit DE around your baby lettuce, or crushed eggshells ( need lots ) to make it tough business for the slugs to eat it.

I wonder if you could make a border of copper around the Octopus's Garden? Slugs and snails are killed as they slither across it!

Of course that won't help with the ones that are already there, and their eggs. Maybe use some beer traps to lure them out?

I saw the electric fence did best.
One thing I am going to have to do is get rid of their hatchery.

I need to move the compost pile and rake up all of the leaves in the area.
When I walk around on them all I hear is crunch crunch they are so thick.

Other than start a new thread on everything I have done like I said here is Worth's worthless potato patch.
Some of the cucumbers will be planted just to the left on a fence.
Yes I did this in flip flops and shorts in 45 degree weather.

Okay while I was at the store I found some arugula seeds they were real cheap so I bought two packs.
They didn't have them the other day.
I may end up having to come up with another place to grow sweet potatoes.

I also bought some snail bait killer.
