Great news!

I don't know which will be worse...waiting to see if we could get germination...

...or waiting to see what we get from it!

I'd like to say your stress has lifted, WildLife, but I suspect it may be just beginning...

Sorry, and boy is it time for me to
eat crow. Elvis sightings were all they were.
White specks that washed away with a water
misting. Geezzz, not gonna' live this one down
anytime soon.

They looked like the Real Mc Coys in the light
I had. Feel light a horse's tail for jumpin' the
happy gun.

Self, They were soaked for 21 hrs. starting
March 12th and planted the following day.

JJ, We'll just hope you were seeing the future and those seedlings will be up in the next few days.

Where did the link to the pictures go. I saw them. Yeah!

The fact that yours germinated so quickly makes me wonder if the rest of us will get any . Oh well, I am not giving up yet. 8)

Hey Buddy
I placed the seeds in a cup of plain water. The cup and seeds were put in the oven for 48 hours. The oven runs at about 80 deg with door slightly ajar. The pilot light is all that
heats it. When I first placed seeds in water they floated.
After 48 hours they sank. Placed seeds in soilmix cup and
back in oven same temp, 3-4 days of wetting and pop!
That was yesterday, today it looks healthy.
I am seriously worried about dampoff
After that I'll worry about something else all they way till
I am able to get seeds for ya all. I hope another one somewhere somehow pops, If I get another I am thinkin bout giving it to another SoCal grower for safety.

Thanks for the run-down my man. If you
lose her, freeze her and we'll get a collection
together to clone her.

No pilot light in my current oven or I'd be
doing the same with my seedlings.

Go, Hazel, go!

RL - the mystery unfolds. (Drat - I was hoping it would be PL so we could rule out Yellow Pear...oh well.)

Anyone else getting anything green? How long has it been?
