Hit up fb again, to drum up support. Some of my peeps have similar interests, may have helped who knows.

Either way, looks like congrats are in order. One vote away!

Looking forward to watching this study grow.

Thanks misfit and thanks to all who voted! I now have 252! Victory! I couldn't have done it without all the Tville help! Next step is the review process which evaluates the economic social and environmental impact potential. This I think is where The Red Baron Project has a huge advantage. Agriculture is the foundation of all civilization! There is fundamentally nothing more important than improving agriculture to sustainably feed the world. That starts with gardeners and continues up to all agriculture at any scale! We will see though. I will keep everyone informed!

Thanks again! Woot woot!

PS BTW As I was investigating the grants, I did find another worthy project completely unrelated to me personally that I believe is just as worthy. This guy has developed a solar panel that inexpensively can be installed DIY by nearly anyone. It's a fully functional "plug in" solar that maybe soon will be found at any big box store if he gets his grant. I think a whole lot of us gardeners and farmers would jump at the possibility to do something like that at a decent price. I know I would. I don't know the guy personally. So I can't vouch for him personally. But I did vote for him. Solar

Great news Scott you dont know how much of a weight has been lifted from my shoulders with this wonderful news.

I dont know why I get so emotionally involved with such things and felt so guilty not being on Facebook.

I know why, the same reason I get emotionally involved with all the other projects and gardens here at Tville. We are like an extended family. When Barbee won her largest watermelon contest, we all were cheering. When Julia grew her giant tomato, we all jumped for joy. When NCTomatoman got his book deal we all want to be the first to buy it. When Tom Wagner's tomatoes were featured in Better Homes and Gardens, it was a joy! When Chase started up his seed company to save Turkish heirlooms, it was awesome! When Cole Robbie built his high tunnel is was like we built it ourselves. Carolyn saving so many heirlooms. Really to be honest, there are far too many to even mention! I am leaving dozens out! This really is without any hyperbole, the greatest online forum I have ever even remotely been a part of, and it keeps getting better and better.

What Worth said...

Congratulations, Scott! Here's to hoping you will breeze through the review process now. And how kind of you to link to the Solar project.

Congratulations, Scotts (Redbaron)! Now it's up to you to go the extra yard and make the dream come true. Wishing you the best of luck in all that you do!

Thanks to your support I officially made it to the judging phase of the Mission Main Street Grants program from Chase! I am in the running for a $100,000 grant which I will use to buy equipment to expand my small market farm and of course this project. Recipients will be announced in September - wish me luck!

Thanks everyone. BTW I was able to talk to Allan Savory on the phone today about the Red Baron Project and the wikipedia page I wrote on Holistic management! What a thrill! I am afraid I did embarrassingly ramble a bit though. He knows more about ecosystem function in his left pinky than I have managed to learn in my entire life!

Very interesting article, Scott. You also have always been very supportive for the ANATOHUM Project. I am working on the new database page now and hopefully when it is ready, I would like to continue to work with project volunteers again. So many things to do!

I'm sorry for not posting much-needed updates. My computer crashed. Will try to catch up soon.
