Nice job Charley! I have two questions for you and for those of you who use that kind of red plastic cups. Do you make a few holes at the bottom of them to allow water drainage? Did you start your seeds in them or have you been repotting your seedlings? Potting up is my least favorite activity. Last year I used medium size yogurt cups and I must say that by the time I transplanted my seedlings, some of them clearly looked like they already needed more room. I'll be starting my seeds this week and I'm still debating what would be the best/easiest way for me.

Some of my seedlings. The two in the back are Cream Fatalli's that I started towards
end of December. I will probably pot them up one more time before plant out.

Yes, you have to put holes in the bottom. I don't start my seeds in them. Potting up
is not fun,but my least favorite thing is hardening off.

Default Seedlings 3-6-17

Here are my seedlings on 3-6-17. Large plant on left: the most vigorous example of DLH from Dutch's seeds. On the right- PL example from same seed pack. It will be interesting to see what this one is!

I'm trying to turn my seed collection into a plant collection. These 48-cell flats take a lot of time to sow and label when there is a different variety in each cell.

Probably about 200. I thought I was cutting back. But I still have a lot of leftovers from last year's seed swap that I did not get a chance to grow out and evaluate.

Here's another pic. About half of these are peppers:

These are my seedlings for WV63 and Black Vernissage. I started them in soil blocks on January 29th. They're just over 5 weeks old and ready to plant out, but I have another 5 weeks until my last frost date. I'm not entirely sure what to do with them, but I will say that soil blocking was a resounding success!!

They look great. You can plant them deep in bigger pots, just pull off all the side growth first.

I have gotten quite a few seedlings up so far in my first year of starting from seed, but this cell represents a small victory in that 8 days in I have 11 of 18 up. It had been taking me much longer than that until I got a strong grow light involved that produced enough heat to make them comfy.

The Fuzzy Wuzzy is cool Cole. Reminds me of the old mohair sweater. Lol.

I'll keep one plant to replenish my seed stock, but mostly I grow Fuzzy Wuzzy to sell the plants. They stand out on the market table and always sell. The fruit is a red and yellow striped elongated cherry. It's pretty, and I happen to like the flavor, but I think it would be too tart for most people's liking.
