Yesterday I attended at the Visitors' Day at the breeding station SEMO. He was tired from traveling, but excited about what I saw. I add a few pictures.

How impressive to see so many beautiful, healthy tomato plants! Were you able to taste or get seeds from any of them?

The last picture is a new variety with makeshift called Jahodo. Jahoda is in English strawberry. It is a new breeding and the company has applied for its recognition ÚKZUZ. I assume that within two years the seeds could be on sale.
On two pictures are also seen two new OP varieties (in approval process) Julio and Blumko (name overshadowed by hand).

Vladimir, I'm just catching up here.

Is SEMO the Czech breeding station where the four different versions of Stupike were bred all those years ago?

Did you personally have access to seeds of some of the new ones or do you have to wait until SEMO places seeds with different commercial seed companies?

I know I missed some of you earlier pictures of this trip, but when I clicked in and saw tomatoes being talked about I backed up to where you started discussing tomatoes and now I need to go back and look at the other pictures you took on your trip.

Wow, that 'last picture' with Jahodo on the vine, looks exactly like Tomatoberry. Same shape, same big space on the truss between fruits, same colour, they even have same shininess when ripe.

Yes, the tomato plants are really beautiful, perfectly maintained on one shoots for the seventh inflorescence are all cut. They are planted very densely, 1 1/2 feet x 1 ½ feet, slightly wider pathways. A total of 1,440 plants, only five varieties - Bejbino F1 (2006), Parto F1 (2006), Tipo F1 (1996), F1 Toro (1996) and Blumko (new cultivation). SEMO asking for these varieties of extension of the license to sell seeds for ten years (inspects ÚKZUZ).
To taste offering sliced tomatoes, did not specify the varieties, but no new variety was not. I have cultivated all the others, I'm not interested in tasting.

Stupice was bred before 1948 on a farm in Stupice (Bohemia, near Prague). SEMO is Smrzice (Moravia, near Olomouc). In 1948, all breeding stations were nationalized and came under the single undertaking. After 1989 the company was broken up and privatized by parts. All privatized enterprises (SEMPRA, SEVA-SEED, Moravoseed, SEMO) have the right to reproduction and sale of seeds Stupického.
I'm not able to get seeds JAHODO before they come up for sale. Sometimes SEMO company sends samples of seeds of new varieties journal subscribers Zahrádkář (Gardener). If I get them, I immediately send it you (Carolyn - a lover of heart tomato).

Yes, it looks like Tomatoberry F1 (I also grew Tomatoberry last year). But it's a variety OP (must pass tests uniformity). What will taste do not know, but I probably will be different than Tomatoberry (I would say typically Czech). I look forward to this tomato.

Thanks so much for clarifying what was, what happened and what is now.

Yes, I AM a lover of heart varieties so when and if you do get some seeds of JAHODO, I'd love to try them and have one of my seed producers also work with them.

I know you already have my address and some day perhaps there will be some other varieties in my seed offers that you might like to try and coming up soon for the 2015 seed offer are several new ones from Bulgaria, some from Romania, some from the Republic of Georgia and more.
