Hello There!

I'm contemplating different methods of pruning and staking. I see you're using cages and stakes, do you also prune to a main leader?

It's fun to see your plants taking off, doesn't look like that till May or June around here.

I use large cages and drive the stake into the ground and strap the cage to the stake for support. Even then, some of the plants get so big that they nearly topple the cages anyway. I dont do much in the way of pruning except to keep the lower part of the plant trimmed so the foliage doesnt touch the ground
