Great list Ray.
I have crossed Juanne Flamme with Azoychka and the fruit is swelling. Another juanne Flamme line to explore maybe. If we still have some water here come summer I might grow out one of the F1's.
Also growing Bush Whopper from seeds sent from the US. Meant to be an Ozzie variety. Do you know anything about this one? It is indeed a bush, semi determinate type and looks like it will be very productive.

Wouldn't drink it myself but the plants love it. Who would have thought that I would get a market for it in El Salvador

gosh darnoodley Juanne Flamme has been sitting there looking like it should change colour for days.
Lots of others setting fruit in the past few days. Druzba is really throwing them out. Cherokee Purple and Gregoris Altai the same. GMG has several babies as have Lime Green Salad, Kimberly, Bush Whopper, Gary O'Sena, Box Car Willie (looking like it will be a round red something), and Polish Dwarf.
Got two nights of frosts coming so they are all rugged up tonight.

Sounds great!

My Cherokee Purple, third generation here, is very strong this year.

But so too is Indian Stripe during its first year.

Should be interesting.

My Cherokee Purple has developed some sort of leaf problem. Leaves wilting and going black. Late blight me thinks. Daconil hasn't stopped it so I hit them all with Lanosan (copper sulphur fungicide).
Druzba is turning into a beast and Gregoris Altai and Azoychka are setting fruit like machines.
GMG has plenty of fruit set also and is looking very healthy so far.
They seem to be enjoying the chook poop aerated tea (picture above) that I gave them a few days ago.
Another gosh darnoodley frost last night but they all survived.
Couldn't help myself when at a nursery yesterday and came home with a yellow Habenero seedling.

Sorry to read about the CP. Your archillies heal. But glad to read that tea has helped. Mine has started out great again. Indian Stripe looks great too. I will save seed for this one if it's any good. The pros seem to thing CP is a selection of IS. So maybe it's better for your climate.

Got a few minor problems here, grubs, one or two that haven't taken off after transplant, but by and large everything is heading to knee high and I can see flowers coming on just about everything.

Planted the front decorative hot pepper-chilli bed today. Only a few things to go now.

Don't want to jinx myself but shaping up as another stellar season.

However, counted 58 pots. So maybe it will be a nightmare on the watering front. In the pots, Kimberly and Sophie's Choice are throwing flowers and very very happy.

I keep walking around the plants, even at night with a miner's lamp on my head. Lol. Still so v-e-r-y exiciting.

CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR RIPE FRUIT.

Freezing cold here today and some showers. A good day to do some of the final plantouts.

We had the cold the last couple of days. Wind in the south and Brrr. Today is back to normal sunny warm spring day but more frost predicted.
CP is a dud for me. I just cant get it to work. Cherokee Green is right beside it and looking twice the plant.
CP is in a corner of the GH that gets less sun at this time of the year than the rest so maybe it will come good with more sun and a higher sun.
I am thinking that my early starts are not working. They are all sitting and doing nothing. Juanne Flamme is one of them. The ones sown 3 weeks after them are looking so much healthier. I think that growing through the winter has not done them any favours

These are very cold days for this time of year and all this climate change stuff. Hotter is the norm'.

The year b4 last my seedlings just sat there; last year I planted out late and it was great; this year I planted out at what might be considered a normal time and everything is going so well — my best batch of seedlings ever —★that I was only thinking today how I could have been earlier. Lol.

I reckon it's the cold wind that sets them back and I have found a new creche out the front of the shed roller door where they get enough light and protection and addded warmth from the concrete driveway.

It went from smokin hot to super cold ?
I CAN'T stand those kind of springs !
Happened this spring for me ...

April 15 - 25? Average daytime temp ? 75+ degrees !
April 26 - May 10 ?Average nightime temp ? 35 degrees !

Murphys Law had me plant out around the April 26th ...
(dang gardening forums get you all juiced up for early plant outs!)

After a few cold sweats looking out my window ...
the weather finally cheered up ~

Thanks Tom. My CP might come good , but yeah it is a bummer considering I grew maybe 120 of them and sold them at local markets. Sold the last of them 4 days ago. The next day mine started looking sick. Doesn't help when I go to work and folks I have sold or given seedlings let me know how wonderful their plants are looking. LOL
My Gary O'Sena is looking good and is setting fruit so I will have a tomato that had CP as a parent
