TNPeppers, you have certainly earned my respect, neighbor. And I will be quick to agree that you've certainly done nothing out of sorts. Daniel Burson may be the most talked about tomato of the moment, but we need your help. Seems like this new variety doesn't have a lot of public available data on it. I think that we all are looking for anything that will help us build a history on it. Bill Jeffers only wants to make sure that what we call it is what he had as the target for his breeding efforts.

So, tell us anything you can about its growth habits, color, consistencies, inconsistencies, fruit size, leaf type, and taste, and anything else you may have observed.

I agree with Ted, too.
That is what I have been doing : describing my plant, as it progresses.

My DB is the largest in the garden. Growing and flowering nicely. I have a fused stem and mega bloom, I do not mind what the tomato looks like as long as it is good. So far so good, I will try and post a pic when the fruit sets. Despite the fused stem/bloom, it is a beautiful plant. Really looking forward to this one!

I am also growing Danial Burseon out this year, from a generous MissS who shared seed and sponsored me for the seed swap- and I sent on many packs of Danial Burson into the swap as well, so there should be many possibly growing this out this year and next.

I also shared seeds and plants at the Community Gardens and several other places.

Here in Texas, it is getting a bit of exposure! Small potatoes, but another drop in the bucket.

The Daniel Burson plants are strong, sturdy and growing well.
I have a couple in the ground, and a couple more leggy ones
that will go out. All are flowering. The seeds came from Miss S.

I did not realize this variety had not been more widely grown.
Daniels is also being grown for comparison sake. I will be saving
seed from both. Thank you Miss S.

Bjbebs, thanks for posting your pictures here. Your plants are looking great. Just as they should, in my opinion. Keep us posted on how they are doing for you.
Your in Illinois, when did you start your plants?

Nice plants, BJ

My DB has been short and stocky from very early on, with much shorter inter node. But it is healthy.

One of the things that I like about this plant is that it is short and stocky. I am only 5'1" so I am able to reach the top of this plant and get all of its fruit.

Thanks MissS. That sounds good to me.
I plated it on the south end. So it will get enough sun and wont be shaded with other plants next to it.

To whom did you make the request to and I ask b'c I got no request at all. I just looked at post #75 and yes,it does ID your complete name.

I'll ask first where your request went before I do anything more, but know that I'm about the only Global Mod reading here and with so many new members I am going absolutely crazy trying to keep up and can't catch up,buty es,I have been following this thread..

If you want to PM me with the info about who you requested to delete that post,OK,but I'm not going to step on anyone else's toes without knowing.

Carolyn, just noting that only Global Mods can make changes in the General Discussion Forum.

Patti, I received at home that you made a direct request to Mischka to delete that but when I went back to the thread and refreshed it your post was not there as of 12;20 PM.

Know that Mischka seldom has the time to do any moderating here with all the other stuff he has to do, but since your requested that he delete it,that's it for now as far as my deleting it.

Carolyn

I'm sorry Carolyn but I do not quite understand what you are meaning. Is my request gone entirely and ought I then make a new one. Or has my request been received by Mischka and at some point will be addressed.

Thanks in advance for your clarification!
