I like to put regular kettle cooked potato chips in the oven with find ground white pepper on them and re heat them till the oil comes back out.
You can also do this with stale potato chips to freshen them up and drive the moisture out. They are too expensive to throw away. |

Well I had 5 sandwiches,4 were tomato and 1 was Honeybaked Ham.I cut thick slices of bread and ate a whole loaf of fresh Italian bread from our local Giant Eagle's bakery.I never ate an entire loaf of bread in a matter of 5 hours. My wife just shakes her head and called me a pig.But I also bought another loaf of Italian bread for her.I'll get into that tomorrow.I took a week off from work to go to Browns training camp but can't seem to be able to print tickets for the sessions. So today I went for a 15 mile bike ride on my mountain bike.I'll put in more miles the rest of the week and eat as many tomatoes that ripen.

Question about mayo -- is the brand you grew up with still your preferred brand?
I know in my house we have the mayo war going on. I grew up on and still prefer Hellmenns. My husband grew up on a local brand, Cains, and still loves it, but is willing to eat the Hellmenns. Since shopping is one of those tasks we share depending on work schedules, I just make sure to keep a jar of Hellmanns on reserve so he doesn't have an excuse to buy a jar of Cains if he's doing the shopping. |

I dont have a clue as to what mayonnaise I grew up with.
Probably Kraft or Hellman's. A guy in the store turned me on to Dukes. I was looking at it as I always did when I went in the store and this guy said you just put the best mayonnaise done. Worked for me so I took it home. I'm not that picky about mayonnaise and will eat all of it but prefer it with lemon or lime in it. I cant stand Miracle Whip, my sister had to have her jar of that stuff. |

I grew up with only Miracle Whip. It was the only thing my mother bought. Whenever I wanted to try mayo at a gathering or such, my mother would say you won't like it.. When I got a little older I bought a jar of Kraft Mayo, and liked it better than Miracle Whip. Then one day I bought Hellmanns because the store was out of Kraft.. I've never looked back!

They should send you a cap (hat), at least, if not grant you a lifetime supply of mayonnaise. |

It's Not Just for Breakfast Anymore
Looks good enough to make a person who just ate imagine he's hungry again. It's traditional enough to be in the wheelhouse, yet ambitious enough to be interesting. Last edited by swellcat; August 2, 2016 at 12:26 PM. Reason: Coding |

I too grew up on Miracle Whip. It is the only thing that my Mom bought as well. She sure did love it! Gobs of it on everything. I tried mayo at friends houses when I was young and did not like it. As I grew up it was part of my favorite sandwich shops BLT's. That is where I learned to like it. For years I bought Miracle Whip for all of my sandwiches but a small jar of Hellman's just for my BLT's. Today, all that I buy is Hellman's. I have never seen Dukes around here or I would try it. No more Miracle Whip for me.

Thank you! I spread Hellman's mayo on all 3 slices of bread, the middle slice gets a coat of mayo on each side of the bread.
