Zana, I was just feeling proud of myself until I saw your list! Wow, I'm so impressed!!!!! Can you share your recipe for Armenian dill pickles and the cranberry hot pepper jelly? I'm about to make a batch of hot pepper jelly and debating on a couple. My first batch didn't set as well as I would have liked, but it's delicious. And I'm thinking of making pickles for the first time.
Ella and Worth, I know you both ferment pickles I believe? Not ready for that one yet! But any recipes are welcome!!! As long as it's water bath. Worth, I love, love, your art work as well as your never ending recipes. Nice work on the food processor. You do have a gift! Whenever I get hungry, I just come to this thread and drool! Sharon |

Sharon,
If you search in Tomatoville you'll find the recipe for the Armenian Dill Pickles, but be aware that this is a recipe for sealing that doesn't require processing unless it doesn't seal on its own. I recommend at least a 5% acidity vinegar, if not more. But use at your own risk, since the powers that be don't like that it is not a required processed pickle. BTW...you can do the same proceedure with mixed pickles. As for the cranberry hot pepper jelly. I used juice from concord grapes that I pressed, then crushed the cranberries and let them soak in the juice for 2 days, covered. Strained that to the required amount, added the sugar, sliced peppers (or whole), pectin and cooked it down. That is as detailed as I'll post anymore on TV. I no longer post recipes here.

The food processor looks great Worth.
Okay, this thread is, "Random Pictures" You gotta use your imagination, because I'm not taking a picture of it - Imagine you have a cold or whatever is going around and all of your neighbors have it too. Then you think, "I'll go online to my favorite gardening site and read while I'm sick. BAD IDEA! It hurts - I get a headache looking at the screen and small font. That would be a bad picture - lol....ow. |

Giant pot of pork chili.
I used the meat grinder to chop everything up. I you run the onions and such through last it does a great job of cleaning the grinder plate out. Worth IMG_20150914_41951.jpg IMG_20150914_15151.jpg IMG_20150914_30263.jpg IMG_20150914_3793.jpg |

You will be disqualified in a cook off if they see any kind of vegetable in it. One of my favorite foods is chili over pasta and I love chili mac and Frito pie. In this batch I had 4 old carrots in the refrigerator so I ground them up too.Worth |
