I've given up on getting any more to sprout. Planted in standard seed starter with a thin covering of milled sphagnum moss, set on top of an 80s era fridge.

Benissoinante 2/7.

The 2 that sprouted look pleasantly healthy.

Thanks again.

So far, I can pay 0.10 extra to have mail marked to avoid the Rolling machine. But you must go inside each time to have this done.

I received my replacement of Granny's Heart Seeds 2 days ago from a nice member here. I am so thankful to you sir for helping me with more seeds. God Bless you!!

Thanks Carolyn and God Bless you too!!! & Every one.
I am just Blessed to be farming all day in the good weather we are having

Had some issues that preclude exact numbers, but:

Lucinda 2011: good
Ania 2013: good
Absinthe 2013: good
Iva's Red Berry 2013: good
Raspberry Miracle 2013: partial
Blush 2011: zero

First pass at germination was in DE, second pass was paper towel in Ziploc, third pass was coffee filter in Ziploc. Wet coffee filters are definitely better to work with than wet paper towels, but the plastic bags are a pain. I'll be trying coffee filters in reusable rigid containers in the future. Someone mentioned plastic CD cases, or perhaps Petri dishes.

Hi Carolyn,

I actually just put them in the seed starting medium (I get that wet first) in those little trays, on a tray, and use a heat mat. I tend to just sprinkle a bit of the starting medium over them, and use a water bottle on spray to keep everything moist.

My overall average tomato germination was actually closer to 75%, so I don't know why those didn't germinate as well. They are mixed throughout the tray, so they aren't set in one place.

I am now not quite sure if the Russian Queen is from your offer or somewhere else - oops! It was in the little paper envelopes, but fell out of my seed box, so I may have mixed it in with yours in error because of the envelope.

Hopefully I'll have better luck next year!
Mandy

Sorry to be so tardy with this report!

Loka 3/6
Anna Maria's Heart 3/6
Lo Fisher Yellow 0/6
Zachary 4/6
Orangevyi Velikan 2/4

Not sure why the numbers are low - must have been the mix or the temperature.

Lee, I haven't been through this thread recently but I do think that others were having serious problems with Lo Fisher Yellow.

I haven't yet tabulated the germinations of the others you listed, but as long as you got some plants, that's what counts for me, and for you as well.

Didn't want you to think I am blowing off reporting, but had mixed results on my initial sowing (4/22), so am waiting a few more days for what appears to be germination on re-sown varieties. One "low show" and one "no show" of my first set

Will report back hopefully in a week or so. I have knee surgery scheduled for 6/9 so I'd like to get information posted befpre that.

My 'troublesome' varieties are Dutka's Pink, Eastham Pink, Honey Gold, and Fresa, with no germination in 14 days on the first three and one seedling from Fresa. Looks like my second sowing may provide me with something for Honey Gold and Fresa. Still striking out on Dutka's and Eastham so far.

Anyway, more details soon.

Sweet Ozark Orange ( 2014) 3/6 germinated

largest plants in the garden. one of the latest blooming varieties this year. evidently resistant to RKN's and no disease showing. can't wait to taste them.
