I wish I could help with the beans, but they were planted out in the garden that is now being solarized.

My beans aren't growing much either... I water and watch them every day for over a month now, 4 inches up, and a few leaves. Too much sun?

Just starting to get ripe tomatoes in the NC Mountains. First batch for fermenting 0-33. Following Container Ted's instructions on Tania's website. Been growing tomatoes off and on for forty years, first time fermenting. Many thanks to Ted for providing such detailed instructions...

I'm starting my first seed saving attempt using Ted's guide. Big thanks out to all the members here who make this possible from the seed offers to the great advice.

Ya all are making me laugh so hard. Give Imp a basket full of smelts. That way she can have lots and lots of choices. : )
I can sponsor her on some beans. Have a couple of packages of seeds of change beans that never been opened from 2012. Miss S.... ??? If you help sponsor somebody do you send the seeds to them to send to Tormato or just send to Tormato and have her name on them? |

Send them to me. Unopened packages sound like about 20-30 beans a pack, which I'll split up.
And that reminds me, while tomatoes should be 5-10 seeds a pack, peppers should be a minimum of 10, and beans 5-10 per pack. If someone really wants more seeds of a special variety, you can request more than one pack. I'll post about this, as a reminder, later in the year. Sponsoring Imp for beans , eh? 1. Tomatoes - check 2. Peppers - check 3. Beans - check It's gonna be Jaws 3D, and I'm in need a pair of those cardboard polarized glasses. Now that she's going to eat me alive, I better address her return package as... Quint ### Street Wichita Falls, TX T'Orca'mato |

If anybody interested and not sure if Joseph joining MMM swap or not, but if you like mystery, I have some of his colorful mix. Most all are bush varieties and every color under the rainbow and early producing which I loved about them. He grows stuff that has mature early and his beans produce before the heat and bugs start coming on and they taste so good too fresh or for soup. Quote:
Is anybody interested in things like Chinese veggies and different types of lettuce or other veggies? Besides tomatoes, peppers and beans, what do you folks want? |

I keep hoping that other people will ask my questions so that I won't have to keep annoying you with them, but I haven't seen this come up yet...
For those who may have a fairly large-ish collection of seeds, do we just assume that we will get a bunch of duplicate seeds that we can use to replace older seed of the same variety as well as some varieties that are new to us? I notice that there are a lot of varieties on the spoilers list that I already have (of course, there are also a lot that I don't). I'm not complaining, I'm just wondering about the general trend for those who have large-ish seed collections. I haven't participated since 2013, I don't recall receiving a lot of duplicate seed, but I also can't really remember how that came to pass. (forgive smilies; have child leaning over my shoulder requesting that I add the funny faces) |

I could be wrong, but making a wish list on the Spoiler thread would probably help to ensure you don't get duplicates.

The place to post your Wish List is in post #26 if this thread.
Here is the link to the document. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...wwELpyGP8/edit Duplicates do happen sometimes, but hey, you are getting so many of free packs of seeds, who cares.

If it is NOT in alphabetical order and NOT in vertical columns, expect duplicates. If it IS in alphabetical order but NOT in vertical columns, expect duplicates. If it IS in alphabetical order and IS in vertical columns, you won't get any duplicates. If possible, the list should be on one side of a sheet of paper, several sheets if it's handwriting and you have a large collection. If printing from a computer, I can read very fine print. One participant sends their collection list, 4 columns, ~125 varieties to a column, ~500 varieties, all on one side of one sheet of paper. That makes it very easy on me. |

I have a question sense we're talking beans. Can I buy bulk beans at the local Feed and Seed/Ag place to send in to the bean part of the swap?
